CRMO - Made in Japan.

CRMO (Chrome Molybdenum) steel is supplied by domestic manufacturers with Mill Test Certificate to guarantee the highest quality. Heat treatment applied before processing is important for CRMO to meet the quality inspection standard.

02

Three-layer plating treatment for higher durability.

KOOD's special plating processes are carried out following
three steps - copper plating, strike plating and electroless nickel plating. This kind of plating treatment is not socommonly used but KOOD adapted it to achieve higher quality in anti-rust and durability properties.

04

Experience the satisfying quality.

When KOOD axle shafts are installed, coupling rigidity of right and left sides of motorcycle body increases dramatically, which gives much more contact feedback from the road surface. The machine's response to the rider's command becomes much quicker.

STRENGTHS

[Rigidity of connection]

By replacing the front, pivot, and rear axle shafts, the difference in balance between the left and right sides of the vehicle body is corrected and the connection rigidity is increased.

Suspension and body movements become uniform from side to side, reducing the load on the bearings and allowing the wheels to rotate smoothly. The vehicle will not wobble at low speeds, increasing stability. By increasing the amount of information from the road surface, the rider can make the next move more quickly. All movements become smoother and signifi- cantly less lossy.

[Running] Pivot& Rear Shaft

The engine output loads only one side where the chain The rear area of a motorcycle, which is subjected to a The load is considerably greater on larger vehicles.

The highly rigid chromoly axle shafts are able to withstand this unbalanced load, reducing torsion and loss and efficiently transferring driving force to the road surface.

[Turning] Front Shaft

Separate left and right front forks are connected by a set of stems and front of the motorcycle, which are connected by axle shafts. The chromoly axle shafts keep the lateral axles from twisting, which can cause instability in riding, and transfer road surface irregularities and vibrations equally to the suspension for a stable ride.

[Stopping] All Shafts

KOOD's axle shafts are uniquely heat-treated. The increased rigidity of the left-right connection stabilizes the suspension and chassis. The effect is that the tires are pressed firmly against the road surface, making it easier to learn the ideal braking operation to stop in a short time.

CASES

Stability and operability approved by motorcycle police

We want to eliminate even one accident."KOOD Axle Shaft's development philosophy and proven technical capabilities have been officially adopted by the Nara Prefectural Police Department's Traffic Task Force.Rigidity to take on even medi-um-weight bodies due to special equipment such as sirens and large guards.

The performance was proven to take scrambling launches, sudden braking, agile turnaround, and quick U-turns up several notches.

NEW PRODUCT

Aiming for an even higher spec!
KOOD Works Spec Shaft

Our "Works Spec Shaft" has been newly created with the development concept of "fighting through the Suzuka 8-Hours Endurance Road Race". Endurance races are held in extremely harsh conditions, where frequent changing of tires and installation of shafts must be completed in the very quick time of about 5-6 seconds using impact wrenches, in contrast to the conditions of everyday city vehicles. For a smooth and quick tire change in the pits, improving slidability and abrasion resistance under high-load conditions is absolutely necessary to shave off one-tenth of a second to beat the competition.

Different from the normal three-layer plating, the new coat of the Works Spec Shaft is processed with additional "ternary alloy coating" and "heat treatment". The hardness factor is improved by two times and the coefficient of dynamic friction becomes less than half. In this way, an excellent axle shaft with greatly improved durability, abrasion resistance, smoothness, and slidability has been created.

Supplied to the 8-Hours Endurance Race team

As this product is manufactured under the same specifications as the ones supplied to the 8-Hours Endurance Race team, the "Duracon cover, indispensable for an 8-hours endurance race vehicle, is also installed and to some degree will replicate and dress up your own motorcycle.
